And what the texture is like, and the joy.
Yep... it sucks big time.
No Dairy
No Eggs
No Gluten
No fried foods
NOTHING with artificial sweeteners
And now, the latest, NO COFFEE….
My world is coming to an end…. How will I live without coffee, My beloved Long Blacks???
It seems every time I go into hospital I come out with 100 less things I can eat, and there’s not a hell of a lot left to choose from.
But I have a Mum from heaven....she will cook for me GF, EF, DF treats made with old fashioned sugar so I can at least kid myself that I'm normal.
I would love however to go out for a meal and not have to ring in advance to see if the kitchen will do a clean area that will guarantee there’s no cross contamination that might kill me….and the amount of restaurants that’ll do that is infinitesimal... We eat out at a place called “The Rooftops’ a lot and they are great, even offering to let me watch them prepare the meal so I can be sure….
Just easier not to eat out!!!

At least there is still alcohol, even if the interactions with my meds aren’t so good…. There’s been no talk of removing that one from me!!!

Yep….it sucks….
But if I eat any of that stuff its death and I’m not that desperate for any food that much…. But coffee could be tough.
I gave it up for lent, drank 3 mouthfuls on Easter Sunday and ended up in anaphylactic shock....
That sucked more than any sucky thing has ever sucked before!!!
I’d been anticipating that coffee for weeks, and now I NEVER get to drink it again.

I hear you Sister and I relate completely to where you’re coming from….
Some things plain suck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25073771.post-35558670175954596602007-04-05T10:49:00.000-07:002007-04-05T10:49:00.000-07:00omg, i eat the same foods every day: turkey sandwh...omg, i eat the same foods every day: turkey sandwhiches, bagels, peanut butter, eggs, crackers, pretzels, sushi, and miniscule amounts of bananas. oh, and tostitos. i kid you not. at least we can still have alcohol...

i'm sorry toots. TOTALLY sucks. yes it does. i feel ya. :)Audreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07307937378956236480noreply@blogger.com
